Historic stone restoration in Miami Shores

Miami Shores keeps its history close: twenties Mediterranean Revival near the bay, MiMo blocks from the fifties and a village that cares how things look. We restore stone here with a light hand, so the floors keep their age and lose only the damage.

01

Two eras, one village

The Shores carries two generations of fine floors: cast stone, quarried marble and old-world craft from the twenties, and terrazzo poured through the fifties boom. Each asks for different tooling and a different touch, and we bring both to the same street.

02

Restoration, not replacement

An eighty-year-old floor should not come out looking new from the box. We hone away wear and stains while keeping soft edges, small irregularities and patina, the things that make an original floor worth more than its replacement.

03

Fifties terrazzo, done right

The village’s mid-century homes hold terrazzo with brass divider strips and colored fields worth saving. We grind flat, fill chips with matched epoxy, keep the strips true and polish to a depth new floors do not reach.

04

Porches under the oaks

Under the canopy along Grand Concourse and the avenues, shaded steps and porches grow dark with mildew and algae. We clean the stone gently, without pressure damage, and seal it so the green comes back slower every year.
